Stephen Cody WCC Earthquake Resilience
Building Resilience in an Earthquake
Steve Cody is currently the Manager Building Resilience Wellington City Council and has responsibility for managing the Councils earthquake prone building policy, leaky building claims, assessment and strengthening of some of the councils key buildings as well as developing and supporting strategies that improve the resilience of the city’s building stock. Prior to his current role he worked mainly in the building compliance area and before this operated his own construction business in NZ and in Australia.
Steve will speak to members about what they could or should do to their residential properties to reduce the odds of structural damage in a significant earthquake. This will be of great interest and value to members.
